Viaje’s Bird On A Branch Landing Next Week

“You never know when or where inspiration will strike,” says Andre Farkas of Viaje Cigars. In this case, a drawing of a parrot made by his son when he was five years old inspired Farkas to create Bird on a Branch, a two-size line made at Aganorsa Leaf in Nicaragua.
The cigars are composed of Nicaraguan filler, two Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 binders from Jalapa and an Ecuador Habano wrapper. It’s offered in two sizes, Pajaro which measures 6 inches by 50 ring gauge, and a 5-by-52 robusto called Pajarito. Both come in 34-count boxes that retail for $408 each, or $12 per cigar.
According to Farkas, the cigars were aged for nine months before release and will start shipping next week, on July 29th. This is Viaje’s first brand under its new Private Bale series.
