Warped Corto Has New Size And New Look

The first shipments of the Warped Corto X52 went out to retailers yesterday, bringing the Corto brand to two sizes. It’s a box-pressed robusto that measures 4 3/4 inches long by 52 ring gauge. Unlike the slide-lid cabinets of the Kyle Gellis, the new boxes will give the cigars a larger retail presence in the humidor.
Corto’s all-Nicaraguan blend remains the same—a Corojo ’99 wrapper, Corojo ’99 binder and a filler combination of Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99 tobacco. It’s made in Nicaragua at Warped cigars are produced.
Gellis says that adding a new size to Corto was simply a response to consumer demand. “People wanted a larger Corto,” he tells Cigar Aficionado. “We always love receiving from fans of the brand and the overwhelming response was always a larger Corto.”
The Corto X52 has a suggested retail price of $11.50 each and is intended to be a full-bodied cigar.
